Group Digital Manager - AM Digital

JOB TITLE: Group Digital Manager

SUBORDINATES: Online editors, online writers and online assistant


SUMMARY:

Associated Magazines is looking to create a digital strategy of all digital platforms such as websites, mobile sites and or Blogs for each of the magazine titles that are integrated with the editorial and corporate brand strategies for the business. The overall objective of this job is to provide a support function to the publisher, and to develop and execute various digital strategies for the company. The digital manager works closely with the PR & marketing departments, business development managers (sales), editors, art directors and syndication department to improve relevant business metrics.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. An industry relevant tertiary qualification (4 yrs)
a. 3 years experience in the magazine or media industry
b. 5 years experience working in a relevant digital function with at least 3 years experience managing a digital business unit
2. An excellent working knowledge of efficient computerized filing systems, office machines and equipment, including digital computer hardware and software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Email, and Internet Explorer, Apple Mac, I-pads, mobile etc and understanding of HTML/XHTML).
3. Creative, lateral thinker with a passion for the brands.
4. Entrepreneurial thinker with highly influential, motivational personality that is familiar with digital concepts and trends, capable of being the digital thought leader within Associated Magazines.
5. Able to strategize and forecast budgets with the Group Publisher and Commercial Finance Manager
6. Good planning and organizing skills.
7. High level of organizational and effective time-management skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written & verbal).
9. Ability to work to tight deadlines, multi-task, prioritize and handle a diverse workload.
10. Sound networking skills - a dynamic coordinator, who can network and develop strong internal and external relationships.
11. Decisive, proactive, motivated, enthusiastic, self-disciplined, problem solver.
12. Attention to detail, utmost professionalism and discretion to be applied in reflecting the company profile.
